Photography / Video
Doña Mina tells her story in Union City, New Jersey. She arrived in the United States from Cuba with her husband in 1953. In 1971, they opened their first and only business: The Queen Laundromat and Cleaners.
Through photography and video, La Reina approaches a place shaped by migration, labor, memory, and everyday endurance. The laundromat becomes both a business and a living archive: a space where personal history, domestic routines, and the traces of displacement remain folded into ordinary gestures.
