MARICA VASQUEZ TAGLIERO

Marica is the coordinator and a co-founder of the Cooperative Les Valoristes, an organization that works towards social inclusion, the development of alternative jobs for people with disabilities, and the development of a sustainable recycling program for Quebec. She has been working in environmental and community development for many years. Inspired by the Catadores, informal Brazilian recyclers of her native city of Sao Paulo, and the similar activities happening on the streets of Montreal, she has been working and organizing projects with Montreal binners through projects like Projet Consigne and Coop Les Valoristes. https://cooplesvaloristes.ca/language/en/home/
